Platform Goowol (Co-CEO, Yang Seung-bong and Lee Hye-seon, a.k.a. Goowol Manim), a lifestyle online and offline commerce platform, collects donations through CHERRY, Korea’s first blockchain-based charity platform developed and operated by IT company E4Net (CEO, Lee Sujeong). It was announced on the 20th that a business partnership agreement was signed to cooperate with.

According to this agreement, Platform Goowol and E4Net have a plan to carry out the first projects to participate in the 'Goowol Market' held at Culture Station Seoul 284 as part of the Craft Week event hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and operated by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation from May 27 to 29. In Goowol Market, when a visitor takes a photo at the Coinman X CHERRY Donation Photo Zone and uploads it on their SNS, a certain amount per visitor is donated by the Goowol Market organizer, and participating companies voluntarily donate a certain percentage of sales through CHERRY. to be. The donations collected in this way are transparently delivered to the donation organization through CHERRY.

Since 2020, E4Net has launched 'CHERRY Partners', a program that certifies companies that donate through CHERRY, to spread the donation culture, and has steadily increased the number of participating companies. Through this agreement, small business sellers participating in the Goowol market as well as Platform Goowol will be registered as CHERRY Partners.

Lee Sujeong, CEO of E4Net, said, “Shopping-linked donations that connect consumers’ daily consumption and donations are the method CHERRY has been pursuing since the beginning. I will practice consumption and try to make donations permeate my life.”

Yang Seung-bong and Lee Hye-seon, CEOs of Platform Goowol, said, “Until now, sellers who participated in the market had made donations on their own and donated to organizations such as Holt Children’s Welfare Center.” They added, "It has the advantage of being able to select the donation campaign desired by sellers and consumers among various donation campaigns of 270 donation organizations. Starting with this September market, we plan to raise and deliver donations through CHERRY at various events in the future.”

CHERRY, launched by E4Net in 2019, is the first blockchain-based charity platform in Korea. More than 270 donation organizations are conducting donation campaigns through CHERRY, and the cumulative donation amount exceeded 3 billion won in January. CHERRY has been working hard to spread donation culture by donating in various ways, including donations through walking, donations to the Dance Challenge and ZEPETO Challenge, and donation webtoon contests. As a result, 4 out of 5 of the largest individual donors on the CHERRY platform are receiving enthusiastic responses from the younger generation, to the extent that they are Millennials and Gen Z.
