CHERRY, unveils AI virtual try-on photo booth at ‘Japan IT Week 2026’ in Japan

Cherry (CHERRY), a blockchain-based donation platform, announced that it will showcase “Cherry Photo AI,” a photo booth service featuring AI virtual try-on technology, at Japan IT Week Autumn 2026, held at Makuhari Messe in Japan from the 21st through the 23rd.

The company’s participation was made possible after it was selected for the Daegu Digital Innovation Agency (DIP)’s “2026 SW Convergence Service Demonstration Support” program. During the exhibition, Cherry will present the technology behind Cherry Photo AI to Japanese companies and organizations and explore overseas commercialization opportunities.

Cherry Photo AI is equipped with AI virtual try-on technology that composites local cultural costumes and props onto the user’s facial image. It is designed so that a portion of the revenue generated from photo sessions can be linked to donations. Donation records can be verified through Cherry’s blockchain-based system, and the service can also be linked to donation receipt issuance and benefits at local partner stores.

At the event, Cherry plans to discuss cooperation with a range of Japanese partners, including photo booth and IT solution distributors, tourist facilities, hotels and resorts, commercial facilities, and public institutions. The company intends to pursue entry into the local market by identifying local distribution and operating partners, as well as through licensing and joint ventures.

We plan to expand the scope of the service through cooperation with local companies and organizations.”

Meanwhile, Cherry has recently been expanding the development of services based on AI virtual try-on and region-specific content.
