Korea's charity platform becomes the world's standard blockchain technology.
CHERRY Charity Platform, the first and only in Korea to be listed in the ISO blockchain standard

CHERRY, Korea's first blockchain-based charity platform, was included as an exemplary use case in ISO/TR 3242, a technical report published by International Organization for Standardization(ISO). Already in October 2020, CHERRY was listed as a use case in the ISO standard (ISO/DTR 3242), and was proudly named as Korea's charity platform in the fintech sector in the technology report published in October this year.
CHERRY's case in the international blockchain technology standard is the first and only in Korea, and has great meaning and value in that Korea's blockchain technology becomes the international standard. For this reason, recommended by ISO in March of last year, CHERRY were invited to the round table on 'ICT Verticals and Horizontals for Blockchain Standardization' of the European Union (EU) to discuss blockchain technology for several international technology standardization experts. CHERRY has once again raised the status of Korea's technology.
ISO's CHERRY case has been recognized for its use in the public interest of relieving distrust in donations and revitalizing a stagnant donation culture by increasing transparency through blockchain technology. This is because it received a positive evaluation in that it can create a desirable blockchain ecosystem by making it possible for anyone to participate in the service easily.
The CHERRY Charity Platform started as a project supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency in November 2019, and has now exceeded 6 billion won in cumulative donations, and more than 300 donation organizations have been conducting 1,400 campaigns. Lee Sujeong, CEO of E4Net, a CHERRY development operator, said, “I am delighted that CHERRY’s technology has been recognized by leading domestic and foreign standardization organizations, such as ISO and TTA. We expect that it will continue to develop as a technology that leads the world without staying here.”
Meanwhile, the CHERRY Charity Platform recently announced evolution from a charity platform to a social impact platform. In line with this, CHERRY plan to launch CHERRY Walk service that attracts more people to participate so that CHERRY can maximize the good influence it has on society. Furthermore, a roadmap was also revealed to develop into CHERRY World, which constitutes a metaverse community where users can receive continuous motivation based on NFTs.
