CHERRY Charity Platform, MOU with Korea Guide Star for “forming donation culture”

On the 14th, E4Net (CEO Lee Sujeong), a developer and operator of CHERRY Charity Platform, announced that it had been signed an MOU with GuideStar Korea (Chairman Choi Joong-kyung) on ​​'cooperation to establish a transparent donation culture and activate donation'.

According to this MOU, E4Net and GuideStar Korea decided to jointly develop 'Glass Temperature', a transparency index to be applied to the blockchain-based charity platform 'CHERRY'. In addition, two companies plan to cooperate in providing information on NGOs to members of CHERRY Charity Platform. In addition, it plans to continue to cooperate to form a transparent donation culture and restore trust in donations through the charity platform CHERRY.

CHERRY, which has recently exceeded 4 billion won in cumulative donations and continues to grow rapidly, is the first blockchain-based charity platform in Korea. It is characterized by transparent management of all donation-related processes, such as fundraising, distribution, and spending, by applying blockchain technology.

Lee Sujeong, CEO of E4Net, said, "CHERRY provides trust to donors by applying blockchain technology that guarantees transparency. Ultimately, we hope that much-needed donations will be delivered to more beneficiaries." She added, "Through this MOU, we expect that GuideStar Korea's accumulated know-how and information will further contribute to increasing the trust of donors."

Kwon Oh-yong, executive director of GuideStar Korea, said, "We will contribute to vitalizing the donation culture by guiding various information on donations in an easy-to-understand manner so that donors can donate wisely."

Meanwhile, GuideStar Korea is a NGO evaluation agency that evaluates the transparency, accountability, and financial efficiency of NGOs every year. It is carrying out various public projects to innovate the domestic donation culture.
