Cherry Photo Makes Official Debut in Barcelona, Spain

CHERRY PHOTO, an interactive donation-based photo booth developed by CHERRY, Korea’s first blockchain-powered donation platform, has officially launched at Westfield La Maquinista, a major shopping mall in Barcelona, Spain — marking a key milestone in CHERRY’s global expansion.

From May 16 to 17, CHERRY PHOTO participated in the Good Festival hosted by Westfield.

Cherry Photo operates on a model where a small donation is made automatically when users take a photo. It was well received by local event organizers and citizens for its ability to seamlessly connect enjoyable experiences with giving.

After the event, Cherry Photo was relocated to the mall’s central hall and is now operating regularly. This marks Cherry’s fourth global expansion, following successful entries in Canada and Vietnam last year and California earlier this year. Cherry has been receiving positive feedback in Europe, signaling strong interest beyond Asia and North America and playing a key role in promoting a global culture of giving. The company plans to further grow its presence across Spain and is preparing for broader expansion throughout Europe.

Soojung Lee, CEO of CHERRY, stated, “We hope that giving will no longer feel difficult or burdensome, but instead become something anyone can easily take part in as part of their daily lives. Building on our successful launch in Spain, we look forward to delivering CHERRY’s joyful donation experience to more countries and cities around the world.”
