‘CHERRY’, Korea’s first blockchain-based charity platform, successfully completed ‘Miracle 365 Virtual Harmony Run’, a donation marathon to help multicultural youth, together with ‘Insooni and Good People’.

‘Miracle 365 Virtual Harmony Run’ is a donation marathon that Gisu Sean and Insooni have been running together since last year. This year, everything was done through the CHERRY app, from selecting souvenirs, applying for participation, measuring the distance run, and sharing proof shots on social media.

In this event, which was held non-face-to-face from October 16th to 31st, a total of 333 participants ran about 1,724km non-face-to-face from their respective locations, adding a warm helping hand for multicultural youth.

In particular, it is a time when group events are often held in the fall, but it is not easy for many people to gather indoors due to Corona 19, and large-scale group participation in corporate and CEO meetings is noticeable.

‘Open Play’, an edutech company, held an in-house walkathon through Harmony Run. Employees formed a group and traveled to and from Dangsan Station and Hapjeong Station, where the company is located, via Yanghwa Bridge, and participated in the donation marathon. ‘Roi Tech One’, a venture company specializing in construction IT, also sponsored the company and held a harmony run with executives and employees. He explained that it was a valuable opportunity for executives and employees to gather together to enjoy the clear autumn sky and build precious memories as one, as well as to feel the pride of participating in donations for the underprivileged. In particular, these days, when ESG management is attracting attention and the importance of corporate social contribution is growing, it is a more memorable event for all executives and employees in that a greater effect can be expected in cultivating loyalty and strengthening unity through in-company activities related to social contribution. It is evaluated that it has become.

Meanwhile, members of the IT industry CEO meeting, ‘Solideo CEO Meeting’, Christian entrepreneurs’ group, ‘CBMC’ Gwanghwamun Branch Association, and Yanghwajin Branch Association also gathered in the park to walk and hold meetings and help support multicultural youth education.

Lee Sujeong , CEO of E4Net, an IT company with 26 years of experience developing and operating CHERRY, said, “Nowadays, when the social responsibility of organizations is emphasized, many groups participate in the Harmony Run using the CHERRY Sneakers Day walking donation solution, where employees and members can participate in fun non-face-to-face. “We will develop into a charity platform that helps not only individuals but also companies and groups to practice social contribution more meaningfully and conveniently in line with the ESG era,” he said.

Meanwhile,CHERRY, the first blockchain-based charity platform in Korea, was selected as a national project by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency in 2019, and has raised about 2.4 billion won in donations so far, earning a reputation as the most popular blockchain service.
