Blockchain charity platform CHERRY starts a new adventure as a spin-off company, CHERRY Corp. Continue efforts to spread a warm culture of charity with blockchain technology recognized by ISO

On January 2, 2023, CHERRY, the first blockchain-based charity platform in Korea, establishes a corporation as CHERRY Corp. to start a new leap forward. CHERRY has been operated by E4Net Co., Ltd., and on December 14, it completed the spin-off and establishment of a new corporation. The new corporate name is CHERRY Corp., and Lee Sujeong serves as the CEO concurrently with E4net Co., Ltd.
CHERRY has raised about 7 billion won in donations through 1,500 campaigns over the past three years (as of December 2022) with the country's only 'transparent donation process through blockchain'. In particular, the ‘micro-tracking’ function that tracks the entire process from fundraising to use is CHERRY’s unique technology. Last year, it was the only exemplary use case of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) blockchain standard, and it is being evaluated as a technology recognized not only in Korea but also abroad.
With this spin-off, CHERRY Corp. divides its business into 'CHERRY Charity Division' and 'CHERRY World Division'. The ‘CHERRY Charity Division’ will strengthen the foundation of the fundraising platform, and the ‘CHERRY World Division’ will discover new businesses that can contribute to the spread of donation and ESG culture based on blockchain, NFT, and Metaverse technology.

In fact, ‘CHERRY WALK’, a new concept walking service launched by CHERRY Corp. in October of last year by combining AppTech and donations, is receiving a good response. CHERRY WALK is a service that allows you to earn reward points and donate just by walking. Currently, most of the pedometer services registered in the app market are being used for the purpose of acquiring personal rewards, but CHERRY WALK has begun to lead users to a “good daily life” by incorporating “reward donations.” In fact, within two months of its launch, it succeeded in recruiting about 5,000 new reward donors. CHERRY Corp. plans to expand CHERRY WALK into 'CHERRY WORLD', a mission-based community space that leads social impact activities.
In addition, in line with the spin-off, CHERRY Corp. will start the ‘Good walking app CHERRY WALK Youth Supporters - CHERRY Blossomers’ activity in earnest from January. CHERRY Blossomers spread various donation experiences to the same young generation through the CHERRY app, and it is expected that they will grow into future generations of philanthropists. CEO Lee Sujeong said, “CHERRY Corp. which has made a fresh start from E4Net Co., Ltd., which is said to make the world warm with technology, is about to start a more fun and exciting 'Charity Adventure'.” We will do our best to become a spark of innovation as well as desirable social change.”
