Updated: Mar 23, 2023

APS Group held a donation ceremony to support the earthquake damage in Turkiye through the CHERRY Charity Platform.

The delivery ceremony held at the Community Chest of Korea Gyeonggi Office was attended by Kim Young-joo, vice chairman of APS Group, Kim Hyo-jin, secretary-general of Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea, and Lim Sung-geun, manager of CHERRY charity Platform.

This donation was raised through the blockchain charity platform 'CHERRY'. A total of 20 million won was raised in a "matching grant" method in which the corporation donated the same amount additionally to the amount donated through CHERRY for nine days by APS Group executives and employees.

Kim Young-joo, vice chairman of APS Group, said, "We have made a donation to convey hope to the people of Turkiye and Syria, who have lost their homes at once," adding, "We hope the donations will help victims of the earthquake return to their daily lives." Lim Sung-keun, manager of CHERRY Charity Platform, said, "APS Group successfully carried out a campaign last year in which not only companies but also all executives and employees participated in the donation together through walking donations with CHERRY.", adding, "We thank APS Group for quickly holding a donation campaign after the international disaster situation, allowing executives and employees to participate in donations together. And we hope that it will continue to participate in the spread of the donation culture," he said.

CHERRY, a domestic blockchain charity platform, transparently discloses the entire process of raising and delivering donations through the blockchain.

It is used by more than 330 donation organizations, including the Community Chest of Korea and the Korean Committee of UNICEF, and is raising more than 7.9 billion won in donations. In addition, various donation campaigns can be opened for executives and employees, such as walking donation campaigns and donation dance challenges, which are well received as ESG practice cases by many companies.
