CHERRY, successfully ends the donation campaign to overcome Turkiye-Syria Earthquake Disaster



Interview 365 Reporter Lim Sung-kyu = Blockchain charity platform "CHERRY" announced on the 21st that it has completed a unique donation campaign held to support the recovery of damage in Turkiye and Syria, which were severely damaged by the earthquake in February.

CHERRY held a participatory donation campaign on the 13th of last month to support Turkiye and Syria, which allows them to easily participate in donations in their daily lives. Donations were raised through ‘CHERRY Walk’, a walking donation function in the CHERRY App (application), and CHERRY donated an additional donation of 1,000 won per participant. Through the participation of many people, 9,135 people eventually participated in the campaign, and CHERRY donated an additional 9,135,000 won.

Since the earthquake, CHERRY has opened an emergency fundraising box to raise donations with more than 10 donation organizations, including the Community Chest of Korea and UNICEF Korea Committee. So far, it has been raising 40 million won in donations with the participation of many donors, and donations have continued so far as fundraising news has spread on social media channels and online communities.

An official said, "In line with CHERRY's desire to create a transparent donation ecosystem, many patrons believe in the CHERRY and is donating to it," adding, "Many CHERRY users actively participated in this earthquake recovery campaign." Meanwhile, CHERRY is a blockchain-based charity platform that has raised more than 7.9 billion won in donations so far.
