CHERRY, Korea's first blockchain Charity Platform, announced on the 26th that it has launched a 'donation kiosk' to spread the 'culture of donation in everyday life' and held a commemorative event at 'YAMIDANG' in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

The launch event was attended by CHERRY CEO Lee Su-jeong, Ludens Partners CEO Sung Rae-hyun, and Community Chest of Korea Secretary General Hwang In-Sik.

Yamidang is an Asian fusion restaurant located in the National Museum of Korea. It is a place where you can enjoy tempura and noodle dishes cooked by robots by introducing Ludens Partners' food robot ATO. 'CHERRY' is the first to install a donation kiosk made with blockchain technology at Yamidang. As a result, Yamidang introduced a donation set menu that adds 1,000 won to three popular dishes (chicken poke, rice noodle soup, and pork bowl). Customers who order the donation menu will receive a drink and KRW 1,000 will be automatically donated to Love Fruits. Customers' donations can also be tax-deductible through the National Tax Service.

"The CHERRY Donation Kiosk is designed to make it easy to donate while ordering food at restaurants," said Lee Su-jeong, CEO of CHERRY. "Even customers who are not interested in donating will be able to practice sharing through everyday donations."

"As a robotics solution provider that installed Korea's first ceiling noodle bot and frying bot at YAMIDANG, we have introduced a donation menu to customers visiting YAMIDANG, making it easy for them to donate," said Sung Rae-hyun, CEO of YAMIDANG. "We hope that many customers will choose the donation menu and spread love to more neighbors."

"We hope that customers visiting the YAMIDANG will enjoy the food made by the robot kitchen, participate in sharing, and experience a fun donation experience." "We will continue to develop easy and fun ways to donate, such as donation kiosks, to spread the 'culture of donation in everyday life,'" said Hwang In-sung, Secretary General of Community Chest of Korea.

The CHERRY Donation Kiosk was jointly developed by CHERRY, eCardVan, and Ludens Partners. The blockchain-based microtracking function was integrated through the CHERRY platform. Donors only need to enter their mobile phone number after placing an order, and the National Tax Service automatically issues an electronic donation receipt. In addition to on-demand kiosks, CHERRY is developing standalone donation kiosks with interesting donation content such as animations and game elements.

Since its launch in 2019, CHERRY, a Charity Platform, has hosted more than 1,700 campaigns by more than 360 donor organizations. It has accumulated over 200,000 donations and 9.3 billion won in cumulative donations.
