World Human Bridge, an international relief and development NGO, announced on the 24th that it will hold the ‘9th Human Love Life Walking Festival’ on-tact together with the charity platform ‘CHERRY Hope Sharing Platform (hereafter CHERRY)’ to mark the World Suicide Prevention Day.

Ontact is a concept that adds “On” to “Untact,” which means non-face-to-face, and refers to a new social trend of face-to-face online.

The ‘People Love Life Walking Festival’ is an event to spread a culture of respect for life that has been held every year since 2012 by the World Human Bridge Anyang Regional Headquarters during the Suicide Prevention Week. Every year, participants gathered in the Anyang area to hold a walking event, but this year, the 9th, it was held non-face-to-face to prevent the spread of Corona 19.

The event draws attention in that it is a non-face-to-face event from application to participation. Participation is accepted through CHERRY until September 2nd, and group T-shirts are sent to donors of 20,000 won or more. Participants can participate in the walking challenge by accessing the event page in the CHERRY app from September 7th to 13th. The number of steps is counted using the pedometer function in the app, and you can enjoy the fun of walking together by checking the profiles and rankings of other participants. Also, when you complete the walk, you can share the good influence with more people by sharing the result screen on social media.

The donation raised through the event is used for projects such as suicide prevention education for children, the elderly, and those at high risk of depression, counseling for families bereaved by suicide, self-help meetings, and recovery program support.

The World Human Bridge Anyang Regional Headquarters annually comforts 200 pregnant women from low-income families with prenatal music and provides childbirth supplies through the 'Moa Sarang Prenatal Concert', 'Sharing Kimchi of Love' to deliver kimchi to vulnerable families and institutions, and Welfare Square. We have been carrying out activities for local neighbors in need, such as the 'Love Sharing Center', a customized free convenience store operation project for neighbors in the zone.
