CHERRY, the first blockchain Charity Platform in Korea, announced on the 23rd that it has signed a business agreement with the World Technology and Civil Society Organization (WTIT) to promote a culture of donation.

CHERRY is a blockchain Charity Platform equipped with 'microtracking' technology that can check the flow of donations in real time. Under the agreement, CHERRY will work with WTIT to distribute donation kiosks that integrate blockchain-based microtracking functions.

The donation kiosks are designed to motivate donations through interesting donation content such as animations and game elements, and to promote a culture of everyday giving by providing a donation experience that goes beyond the simple act of dropping money into a collection box.

There are two types of kiosks: standalone and embedded. The standalone type is a donation-only kiosk connected to a donation organization. The embedded type is a version that adds a donation function to the product ordering kiosk of an individual business. By linking donations to daily purchasing activities, it will be operated by adding donation products where a portion of the purchase price is donated.

The first donation kiosk will be installed at Yamidang, a fusion Asian restaurant located in the National Museum of Korea. It will also be installed at resorts, hotels, restaurants, and shops. All donations made through the kiosk will be recorded on the blockchain to ensure transparency.

"Through the donation kiosk and instant donation photo gallery, we want to familiarize people with donations," said CHERRY CEO Lee Su-jeong. "We also hope that the next generation, who are not particularly interested in donations, will grow into future philanthropists through fun donations in their daily lives."

To date, CHERRY has secured six patents for blockchain donations.
